As a Charitable Trust we have a Board of Trustees that oversee the strategic direction of the organisation and its performance.
The Trustees have been chosen to ensure a strong mix of essential expertise and skills from a variety of industries and community sectors. The Trustees are supported by a a Management Teamled by Managing Director, Mark Humphreys.
After a career in personnel and training management both in the UK and West Africa I became a Councillor in 2003.
Having lived and worked within Lincolnshire and in particular the East of the county since 1987 my family and I have a close affinity to the area
I have been involved in the organisation of major events for many years including the annual Lincoln Grand Prix, World Cycling Championships and Commonwealth Games and am currently the President of Lincolnshire Sports Partnership which is also a charitable trust organisation.
I have been a local businessman in this area all of my adult life, running my own businesses for 20 years. As far as the Trust is concerned, I have a keen interest in being involved in something that helps create more of an appeal to the younger generation of the town, as they form the future of the area.
I am really excited to be part of Magna Vitae Board. The concept of developing a Culture and Leisure Trust to serve across East Lindsey is an important step in maintaining our community services.
I completed a degree in Sport Management in 2003 and have worked in leisure and culture for over eight years. During this time I have performed a variety of roles across a range of facilities, projects and teams.
I have lived in Louth for 20 years and during this time served on all three tiers of Local Government as Town, District and County Councillor, and was Chairman of East Lindsey District Council in 2013-14. Active on many committees, I have always been particularly interested in those associated with Education, Health and Social Care issues. I represent East Lindsey on the Heath Scrutiny Committee for Lincolnshire.
Since joining East Lindsey District Council four years ago the leisure and cultural services have been my main passion, and I am keen to protect, promote and enhance them.
I am the managing solicitor/partner in a local regional law firm. I specialise in company law, commercial property and being responsible for a busy residential conveyancing department.
I am retired, with a background in marketing, product development and management in major businesses. As an early Trustee I had a key involvement in building Spout Yard Park, a community space for community activities.
