Keeping fit can help your body and mind

/ Health & Fitness

TWO young gym-goers say how keeping fit can help your body and mind.

Josh Rhodes, 27, and his sister Emily, 24, both live in the Horncastle area, and take time out to visit the town’s fitness suite and pool.

Emily has only just joined the centre, after suffering from health problems last year. She is now on the road to recovery – and part of her rehabilitation is to attend the fitness suite.

“I have only just joined and really wanted to come down. Over the last year I have not had any energy and Josh said it would be a good idea to join. Everyone does seem really friendly,” said Emily.

“I am confident coming here and getting into a really good exercise routine is going to keep me fit and well, I am looking forward to the future now,” she added.

For Josh, who works in Grimsby, accompanying his sister to the gym is a way of getting back into fitness. Working long hours in the car trade, he sometimes can get out of the exercise habit.

“It is so good for you, and I just hope Emily enjoys it as much as I do,” he said.

Josh and Emily were helped at the Fitness Suite by Lifestyle Consultant Dave Anderson.

“We know that sometimes it can be a little intimidating to visit for the first time, but we are here to make sure that everyone enjoys the facilities. Just come along and see us,” he said.
