London Road Pavilion in Louth has recently received Highly Commended status in the Institute of Groundsmanship’s (IOG) Industry Awards 2017. The team at the Pavilion, which is operated by Magna Vitae, have been recognised in the National Governing Body’s Grassroots Sports Grounds Team of the Year category.
The IOG Industry Awards promote groundsmanship and best practice, and are currently the only globally recognized accolade of standards achieved within the leisure sector.
Nominations are invited from facility users which are followed up by an inspection by an IOG representative. The decision over which level of recognition London Road Pavilion received will have been further discussed by a panel of experts, who are responsible for some of the most iconic sporting venues in the world, including Test Match Cricket Venues and Premier League Football Stadia. In receiving Highly Commended status, London Road Pavilion is recognised as amongst the top 5 Grassroots Sports Grounds in the country.

The winners of the IOG Industry Awards 2017 will be announced at the awards ceremony on 1st November.
