Venues operating “holiday programmes” from the 23rd – 29th October

It may feel like the kids have only just gone back to school, but the first half term holiday of the year is at the end of this month. From 23rd–29th October our venues we will be running their Holiday Programmes, which offer more great ways to keep kids of all ages entertained. Diabetes Support Programme

Do you know someone who would benefit from practical support to help them manage pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes? Every Thursday Meridian Leisure Centre hold diabetes support sessions, which cover a different, helpful topic each week. Sessions are free to members and Exercise on Referral members, and only £3 to non-members. Find out more!

Nutrition drop-in sessions running in October

Have you got a question for our nutrition expert, Marko? Maybe you’d like advice about  losing weight, gaining muscle or supplements to help you stay healthy throughout winter? Marko will be visiting our venues to answer your questions:

Wolds Words Festival 2017

October has arrived, and with it comes Wolds Words Festival to bring the district its fix for craft, heritage, literature and performance. 2017’s programme is bigger than ever with over 60 events scheduled throughout the month. Mark Dilks qualifies as NPLQ Trainer Assessor and new course dates available

We are proud to announce that Duty Manager at Embassy Pool, Skegness, Mark Dilks has successfully completed his National Pool & Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course and delivered his first course last week.

Do you know somebody who wants to work in the sports, fitness and leisure industry? A job as a Pool Lifeguard is a great way to get your ‘foot in the door’. Why not send them this link to our National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course running this half term? It is a nationally recognised qualification that is sure to put them on the right track.

Holiday Activities

This half term, 4-11 year olds in Louth can join the Holiday Activities team for games, sports, crafts and loads of other fun activities at Meridian Leisure Centre! There is even a Halloween Spooktacular planned for Monday 30th October – so check your term dates now and call us to book your little terrors’ places. Find out more here!

Walking netball at Meridian Leisure Centre

Do you have fond memories of playing netball? Is it a sport you’ve fancied trying? Join us at Meridian Leisure Centre every Tuesday to take part in netball, but at a slower pace. Enjoy the fun, laughter and camaraderie these social sessions offer, at just £2.50 per session.

This Halloween something truly spooky is limping, groaning and Moonwalking its way from London’s West End to Skegness! New pool vacs purchased to improve cleanliness standards

We are always looking to improve our standards and give you the best experience in our swimming pools. Embassy Pool and Horncastle Pool have recently purchased new pool vacs to help us keep the water the highest quality. We hope you notice a difference, and as ever, invite you to leave feedback, either to tell us what is going well or to help us to improve.

Movement to Music community fitness classes

We thought you might like to know that every Wednesday, from 10-11am, Magna Vitae run Move to Music at Stanhope Hall, Horncastle. This is a low-impact exercise class, that’s like an introduction to the Clubbercise sessions that are proving so popular. Sessions cost just £2.50 each and are suitable for everyone, including complete beginners.

  • Every Wednesday, Stanhope Hall, Horncastle, 10-11am
  • Every Friday, The Grange, Chapel St Leonards, 2-3pm

Clubbercise comes to Mablethorpe

Following from the success of our various clubbercise sessions across the county, we are now going to run Clubbercise every Wednesday, from 7-8pm, at St Mary’s Hall, Mablethorpe. Clubbercise is great fun, and is suitable for anyone looking for an easy-to-follow fitness class that combines dancing, glowsticks and lots of laughs! Sessions are suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners, and cost just £2.50 each.

Fitness, Food and Friends in Mablethorpe

Join Marko for the first session of Fitness, Food and Friends, at Peter Dyer Court, Mablethorpe, 10am-12pm on 3rd October. These special sessions are suitable for anyone aged over 50, and are tailored to help you stay fit and healthy. During the morning, Marko will provide practical recipes and tips to help you keep good bone and muscle health.

Activity session for Over 50’s at Station Sports Centre, Mablethorpe

Every Friday, from 2.30-4pm, we will be running new social activity sessions for the over 50s, at Station Sports Centre. Come and take part in a range of activities including badminton, table tennis and new aged kurling. Everybody is welcome, so invite your friends and family for some fun! Sessions cost just £2.50 each.
