The best in the world: that is what you will have in Skegness as part of our great new £155,000 fitness suite.
Your Magna Vitae Fitness Suite and Pool in Skegness is undergoing a complete overhaul – in fact if you are nearby, why not pop in and see the new plans, which are on show in the entrance.
The money is being invested, with support from East Lindsey District Council, and promises to transform the look and feel of the venue, with the new equipment housed all on one-level, with a complete redecoration and new private shower and changing facilities.
So, let’s tell you all about the equipment!
The Skillmill by TechnoGym: the very first all-round product in the world for training power, speed, stamina and agility, which has been developed in complete collaboration with athletes and academics.
The Excite Climb UNITY by TechnoGym: This piece of equipment promises to change the nature of stair climbing exercise forever, making it easy for first-timers and challenging for advanced users.
If you are a current member, you will already know about the revamp and the slight disruption to your usual fitness schedules, with the gym due to close on Tuesday 3rd April for the duration of the work, with an expected re-opening date in time for the spring bank holiday weekend, Saturday 5th May.
Of course, the pool will remain open during that time and Skegness members, who will have that month’s membership frozen, will be able to use our other facilities in Horncastle, Louth and Mablethorpe, free – although just bear in mind, you will have to go through a short induction. Horncastle is the nearest venue, and – following its £130,000 revamp less than a year ago – it does house the TechnoGym equipment, so you can try it out!
Our Chief Executive Mark Humphreys is delighted by this latest improvement:
